Back by popular demand we will be hosting another willow basketmaking day at a private woodland in High Halden near Tenterden in Kent.
I will help you to weave a gathering basket with the distinctive and popular assymetric style border.We will incorporate a hazel handle from East Sussex coppice.This style of border was introduced to british basketmakers by Polish craftsman Stanislaw Dubrech and has grown in popularity.
We will also cover other techniques such as ;tying the slath,pairing weave,staking up and randing.
This will be a fun,informative,hands on productive day!
